It is no secret that Winters in Washington can seem really, really long. For some reason, I always expect to wake up on March 1 and to put the really cold weather and snowfall behind us for another season.
After 9 years in Washington, I really do know better …
Regardless, I get out my list of “to-do” items on March 1 – which will include needed repair items, various updates to electronics, battery replacement in remotes, and items to be purchased from Amazon, Airstream, REI and other camping/RVing stores.
I also get out my various outdoor and camping cookbooks and start tagging new recipes that I want to try on our various planned trips. We always find some new favorites each year – including new cocktails and other camping beverages.
This year I decided to go ahead and do a blog for family and friends to keep up with our travels around the Pacific Northwest (and beyond). This is a bit of a work in progress – so enjoy the unique travel writing through the eyes of a retired engineer!
