Some RV trips are to really stunning places – others are simply taking your home on wheels for quick overnight trips.

It turns out I needed to be in Spokane between weekend camping trips and instead of getting a hotel room I decided to take the New Aire for a short overnight trip to Spokane.

My mom and sister spent some time in Airway Heights near the Spokane Airport – and I had driven past the Northern Quest RV Resort many times and often thought about staying there sometime in the future.

It turns out that the future was … last week.

This RV park was a perfect solution for an overnight trip. The sites are paved and level, they all have full hook-ups including 50 amp service, and the entire resort is big-rig friendly. I was even able to pull into my spot without first disconnecting the Bronco – so a real bonus.

There were not many trees – but lots of green grass for walking Aurora and in general helping the park look well maintained and clean. Each site had a modern picnic table and a grassy spot with daily trash pick-up. From outside our motorhome you could see the Northern Quest Casino and Hotel which was a complementary shuttle ride away.

I was able to get a “late” check-out time for the next day leaving by 2:00 p.m. with no additional charge. Aurora watched over the camper while I took my mother to an early morning appointment – and after dropping her in Spokane Valley it was a short trip back to Airway Heights for lunch and closing up the motorhome for the trip back to Spokane.

Would I stay here again?

Absolutely.

I am planning on staying here again later this summer for a couple of days – and appreciate the reasonable price for full hook-ups and relative proximity to U.S. Route 2 and Interstate 90.

We don’t always know where we are going - but Aurora goes confidently forward!

If you are looking for a nice place to camp in the greater Spokane Area – the Northern Quest RV Resort is worth a look!

Until next time!
